United Church Women
 Neepawa United-Anglican Shared Ministry
Women within the United Church have been forming UCW groups since the organization was formally inaugurated on January 1st, 1962 through the amalgamation of the Women's Missionary Society (WMS), the Women's Association (WA), the Evening Auxiliary and the United Church Guild. Over the ensuing 50 years the UCW has upheld the faith and commitment of the women of the past while taking on the challenges of each new decade. The above picture of the Neepawa United Church UCW members was taken on the occasion of the UCW 50th Anniversary Service on November 4, 2012. Some of our ladies have been members ever since 1962!
Our UCW Organization

Purpose
The purpose of the United Church Women’s (UCW) organization is to unite the women of the congregation for the total mission of the Church. The work of the UCW is supported and strengthened through its activities which provide opportunities for spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, and leadership development.

Projects
The UCW membership is involved in several projects that further our purpose. Proceeds from our fundraising projects are distributed among local as well as national and international recipients.

Meetings
The UCW is formed into Units which meet on a regular basis. There is a general meeting for the UCW executive which is held monthly and any UCW member that is interested may attend this meeting. The general meeting is also attended by a liaison person representing the Anglican Women. No UCW meetings are held during the months of July and August.
